What do you teach in your SSAT courses?
At
we have the only SSAT course in Hong Kong designed specifically for Hong
Kong students. We write our materials so that they thoroughly cover the
difficulties that many Hong Kong students have with the English on the
SSAT as well as provide students with solutions for the most challenging
math problems on the SAT.
First, we give our students an extensive list of SSAT vocabulary and assign
them vocabulary quizzes for every class. Next, we teach the specific techniques
for tackling the synonyms, analogies and reading comprehension. Finally,
we teach students how to write the essay for the SSAT, so they can give
the best impression to the high schools they're applying to.
For the math, we start out by reviewing the basic math tested on the SAT.
Then, we teach the techniques that allow the students to quickly solve
the challenging problem solving problems. Finally, we give students drills
with some of the most difficult math problems on the SSAT and time them
to chart their progress and help them improve.
